I’ve always been a designer.

I was THAT kid, forcing my mom to take me to Home Depot so I could obtain a gallon of paint of whatever color was my current obsession and completely changing the look of my room. This happened at least twice a year. But design became very real for me in 2009 when I bought my first fixer upper home in El Portal and built my first hair salon in Miami’s MiMo district, yes I’ve been doing hair for 20 years, all in the same year.

That’s when I met Primo, whose actual name is Frederick Vega but no one calls him anything other than Primo. The first time I worked with Primo was to make a salon that felt like a living room. All the ideas but I’m no carpenter or electrician or plumber. Primo is all of those things. We spent that entire year Putting two spaces together from top to bottom with free rein of creativity and consideration for how the space was going to be used. Creating rooms that feel warm, cozy and inviting- where people feel inspired. Now we’ve built so many beautiful spaces for friends, family and for local businesses. I definitely have a particular pallet that is true to me. I love the mix of a lot of patterns and colors and if I can custom make something to a space then that’s what I’m doing. I know my style is not for the conventional, but if you dig my vibe let’s get together and make something beautiful.
